STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES
Dear PhD and Master students,
we - Verena Wolf and Sebastian Bieker - are the new elected student speakers for the current SFB funding period.
Some of you might know us already, but for those who don't, we want to introduce ourselves briefly.
Verena: I started my Bachelor's degree at the University of Osnabrück in 2017, which I completed in 2020 with my Bachelor's thesis in Molecular Membrane Biology. I then continued with my Master's degree at the University of Osnabrück and completed it in 2023 with my thesis in Bioanalytical Chemistry. Since 2023, I have been an IRTG-associated PhD student in Bioanalytical Chemistry. I am looking forward to my time as one of the student representatives of the IRTG SFB1557.
Sebastian: I did my Bachelor's degree in Applied Biology at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, with my thesis conducted at the DZNE Bonn. I subsequently joined the Master's program in Biology at the University of Osnabrück, where I found my fascination for lipid biology and fluorescence microscopy. From 2022 onward, I have been a PhD student associated with the IRTG in the field of Molecular Cell Biology, working on ceramide-induced apoptosis.
We are happy to continue the job from the former student speakers, Katharina and Jan-Hannes.
